Founded in the mid-1800s, the Chicago stockyards helped feed a growing country. As the state grew, it was the Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago dogs, Horseshoe sandwiches, and deep-dish pizza that became the object of our food affection. Today, the farmers from across the state work hard so Illinois families and those around the world can enjoy their favorite foods.
Residents of the "Land of Lincoln," we invite you to spend time getting to know us and our families. Watch us at work and take a quick tour of our farms to see our dedication to growing safe food, and raising healthy crops and livestock, while protecting and conserving the land.
